"HEY, YOU! I WANT A REMATCH!!"

Carlotta turned to see 'Stewie' pointing at her angrily. Apparently, he still hadn't gotten over her beating him on Route 1.

"Oh, hello - Stewie."

"Grrr...don't call me STEWIE! You're gonna LOSE!"

"Hm. I don't think so, brat."

Carlotta released Squirtle and Krabby.

"Do your best, girls. This guy's gonna get it," she grinned.

Stewie released his two Rattata, his Pidgey, and his Venonat once more. This would be fun. Krabby was sent forward and immediately hit the rushing Rattata with a Bubble attack that scored a critical hit. Then she hit it with three more right away, cutting its HP in half. It dodged the next one and was hit with a Quick Attack. Krabby then scored a critical hit on the Rattata with her Bubble attack and finished it off with a Leer and one last Bubble. Krabby grew to level 8! The next Rattata up got hit with two Bubble attacks before it tried out a Quick Attack. Then it tried a Hyper Fang, but that missed and Krabby retaliated with a Bubble attack - and then another one. Then it attacked with a third Bubble attack and dodged the next Hyper Fang attack thrown at it. It was just barely dodging them, but its next Bubble attack sent the second Rattata flying into the side of a building. A final Bubble attack knocked it out with a critical hit, and Carlotta took the opportunity to quickly give Krabby a potion. Krabby had grown to level 10 now! Then the next battle was on.

Venonat used Foresight and managed to dodge the first three Bubble attacks, but the fourth one got it ticked and it used Supersonic. Krabby was confused by the attack and Venonat came forward.

"Wait, Krabby...wait for it...now, Krabby, now!"

Krabby waited, as per Carlotta's instructions, until the Venonat was practically on top of it before releasing a barrage of Bubble after Bubble after Bubble attack. A final Bubble attack knocked it out - and Krabby grew to level 11! One more and it would learn a much more powerful attack!

The Venonat was returned to its pokeball as Krabby shook off her confusion. Then the Pidgey came forward and used a Quick Attack on Krabby; Krabby retaliated with a Bubble attack, only to receive a Gust attack in return. Carlotta tossed a berry to Krabby that she caught in her mouth and chewed quickly. It restored some of her health as she dodged a Gust attack and launched a Bubble attack at the Pidgey. The Pidgey took to the sky to dodge it, only to be hit with another Bubble attack that knocked it senseless. Another one slammed it into the ground, a third one kept it there - and a fourth one knocked it out! Krabby grew to level 12 and learned Vicegrip!

"Yeah! Great work, Krabby!"

Fortunately, they were still right outside the Pokemon Center. After a bit of praise, Carlotta returned her pokemon to their pokeballs.

"Just you wait! I'll get you yet!"

Stewie ran off then, and Carlotta laughed as she wheeled her bike around and headed into the Pokemon Center again. She was soon leaving with her pokemon fully healed, and she headed off toward the Viridian Forest...
