Maria rushed after to join up with them, "Yeah, though they're rare and won't like coming out much, unless of course your nice to them." She smiled and looked around the cave.

Her ride to Mt. Moon had been surprisingly uneventful. No trainers, and no wild pokemon. Of course, she hadn't gone through the tall grass; she'd stuck to the path. That was why Carlotta was now walking through Mt. Moon without having healed her pokemon at the local Pokemon Center at the base of the mountain. She'd been walking for some time but had found nothing. Finally, though, she came across some digging noises. She couldn't tell what they were, so she released Krabby and walked on. A Diglett popped up before her and Krabby immediately hit it with a Bubble attack. It fainted instantly. "Must've been a weak one...huh?" That was when Carlotta noticed that the digging noises were still going on. She'd been walking for almost an hour and her feet were tired, but she didn't want to sit down on the ground and there was no other place to sit. So, she decided to investigate. She did return her pokemon to its pokeball, but she kept one hand free in case Krabby or Wartortle would be needed. As she came around the corner, she saw people in black uniforms of some kind digging - and then the ground gave way beneath her! She screamed as she fell through the ground, covered by dust and rocks and dirt. When she came to, her pokeball had rolled away and she reached over to pick it up. She released Wartortle. She was fine. She then released Krabby as well; she was fine, too. Carlotta had some bad cuts and scrapes, but that wasn't what worried her: her bike was completely destroyed, and what was left of it was half-buried in the rubble. Her fishing net, which had been attached to the bike, was buried with it and no-doubt ruined besides. "Oh, no!" she moaned. "My bike! My parents gave me that bike for my birthday! Now what am I going to do?!" She picked up her backpack - it and everything in it seemed to be fine upon close inspection - and she began walking with her pokemon. She eventually came across some fossils sitting on the ground. They were all broken, though - completely useless. She left them alone and kept walking. Almost four hours later, she was tired, dirty, and she ached both from walking for so long and from the cuts and scrapes she'd suffered earlier. Still, there was no end of the tunnel in sight. She sat down and groaned. "This could go on forever. I'll never get out of here!" Then she saw the pokeball lying on the ground. She picked it up and opened it. "Magikarp." "Wow...someone else must have gotten lost down here, too. Shame they left their pokemon behind - or lost it. Either way, there's no one in sight. So, I guess it's mine now." She registered it to her PokeDex and found that it was a level 19 Magikarp. One more level and it would evolve into the so-called 'Water Snake of Death', Gyarados. Gyarados...powerful, ferocious, and most certainly not to be underestimated... But that wouldn't help her now. She sighed and recalled all three of her pokemon. She put them and her PokeDex away. This wasn't working. Her body ached, her cuts were now bleeding again, and she had no way of getting out of here. Didn't this tunnel ever end? She walked for about another hour before finally sitting down again. She'd come to an incline that had led her to a large cave made of numerous stalagmites and stalactites, but it seemed to be an enclosed one. She groaned again as she sat down. "I'm trapped. There's no way out of this stupid cave..." ((If someone else wants to come rescue me, you can.  )) |

Me: I heard a scream. *Turns around and sees a girl with cuts and burses on her. Ran over.* Hey, are you ok?

There seemed to be two ways out of this: the tunnel, or the cave. Both were dead-ends. She coudn't very well spend another five hours walking back to the crash site and who-knew-how-many hours trying to climb back up...and then she heard a girl's voice nearby.
"Huh?"
She'd been resting her face in her hands, but she looked up and saw another girl.
"Oh, hi! Finally, someone to talk to! Maybe you can help me. I came from Pewter City, but I fell through a hole where some men in black suits were digging and now I've been down here for hours. I just came from that tunnel over there."
She pointed to the tunnel from which she'd come.
"And now I can't find my way out of this place. I just want to get to Cerulean City, but being trapped down here certainly hasn't helped matters any."

With a confused look on her face, Carlotta shook her head.
"No, they were black. I'm Carlotta, by the way. Do you know a way out of here?"

"An electric pokemon...cool."
Carlotta smiled, and she waved to all of Kairi's friends.
"I'm jealous. All I got when I went to Prof. Oak's lab was a PokeDex."
She laughed nervously, eager to get out of here.
"Anyway, thanks for the help. Lead the way."

Carlotta smiled and waved again at Kairi and her Pikachu.
"Nice to meet you."
She winced as she stepped away from the rock she'd been stepping on. She needed to get those cuts of hers washed. She also needed a shower - and a nap. She could do with a change of clothes, too, as her swimsuit had multiple tears in it. Frankly, she was surprised it wasn't so shredded that she'd had to resort to removing it completely. That would have been embarrassing: not only getting lost down here, but doing so naked. And changing into another one right now wouldn't do any good since she'd get blood all over it. Blood, dirt, gravel - all that stuff.
